HEY FAM!!!! I am so excited to be back in Zambia and show you what my life has looked like these past weeks!
I’ve been back for almost three weeks now! My flights went great, and I got back into the country no problem. The only thing that is taking a little longer is my replacement work permit. My old one got stolen in September, so getting a replacement one has been a little tricky. Please pray that I will get the approval on the paperwork I submitted soon!
I jumped right back into the swing of things as we started our second session of Bible school two weeks ago! We have about 16 students or so for the 2022-2023 class! These students are all on fire for the Lord and I love getting to teach and learn alongside them! In the second picture, I challenged them to write out their testimonies for the first time, and then we broke into groups and got to share our different experiences with each other!
I went out to a village named Nashangu this past weekend for a revival Saturday night and Sunday morning service! This was the first village we went with a team last summer to share the gospel! It is where we got to witness God heal a blind man of 13 years. What a miracle! The left is the picture of that sweet old man whose eyesight was restored. The middle is Pastor Sibo with some flowers! We found them on our way, so he stopped and picked them for me! Lastly, here is a picture of what the church LOOKED (past tense!!) like when we got there (we cleaned it up and showed it some LOVE!) We had 68 people show up for Sunday morning service were I preached on revival and redemption in the Lord! God is good!
Since last summer, Amber and I have wanted to start a girls bible study with the local high schoolers, and thankfully we were able to! This group has a little twist, and is called "For God’s Glory!" The goal is to teach the girls (ages 13-17) the importance of purity and how to live a life honorable to God and ensure that they are not using their bodies for money. Most of these girls have little to no money at all so we want to bridge the gap and help provide for them so they can stay pure.
Here is our first goodie bag we were able to give the girls! It came with soap, toothpaste, a toothbrush, deodorant, hand wash laundry soap and some Vaseline. The girls were were so grateful!! In the future, we would love to continuously provide for them, and even help with small groceries. But, for now, we wanted the necessities covered. If anyone would like more info or learn how to sponsor a girl, we would love to have you partner with us!!!!
Some evenings, we like to do a little family boat time on the Zambezi!
Rainy season is here, so the river is rising like crazy & all of our beaches are gone! I've never heard thunder so loud and rolling before. It is mesmerizing and comes and goes so quickly!
I also got my first African sunburn on my neck. Not even the real aloe vera plant could revive my skin, haha!
Thank you all for the support you’ve given me already. And thank you for all the prayers! The Lord continues to remind me how blessed I am that I get to share the Gospel with people who need hope and get to love on them.
I am still looking for monthly supporters to help me pay for my expenses here in Zambia! Some of you have asked where you can donate so, here is my link through Trail Missions: https://donorbox.org/amanda-stinnett . Trail Missions is a 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax deductible!
Here are some prayer requests I have for the next few weeks:
Please pray my work permit paperwork would get approved in a timely manner, provision over me, and the ministry work we're doing, for the high school girls ministry to begin to thrive and understand purity, and that many people would come to know the Lord as their Savior!
Thank you all so much!! I am still loving Zambia just as much, if not more, than I did three years ago!!!!! God is good!
Love you all!
Amanda
